Shelley Gillman began her career in healthcare IT as an implementation consultant for an Emergency Department software product. She transitioned to development, becoming a Senior Solutions Manager. In 2011, she joined Duke Health for the Maestro Care (Epic) implementation, focusing on the ASAP module and later supporting the Stork Obstetrics module.
In 2016, Shelley became a Technical Lead for the Maestro Care Inpatient team, supporting various Epic modules and serving as an IT Liaison for seven clinical stakeholder groups. She earned a Master of Clinical Informatics in 2021 and moved to the Digital Strategy Office as a Product Owner in 2022. She co-leads Duke Health's patient self-scheduling initiative to enhance patient satisfaction and operational outcomes.
