Michele Kruse, MBA, RHIA, CHPS, ROI-MC has extensive experience in Health Information Management (HIM) operations and EHR implementation, support and regulatory compliance including 20th Century Cures Act and Information Blocking. She is currently a Business Process Consultant at Duke University Health System, supporting HIM Operations. She is Epic certified in HIM Release of Information, Data Integrity and Coding Modules, previously serving as Application Analyst on Duke’s Maestro Care Team. She is a member of AHIMA, NCHIMA and HIMSS. Michele has served on AHIMA’s Privacy and Security Council, Meaningful Use Response Team, Legal Electronic Health Record Workgroup and has presented and contributed on publications on topics related to the Legal Medical Record and Information Security.
