Job Title
Health Care System, Senior Program Manager, Improvement Collaboratives
Speaker Bio
I have worked for the University of North Carolina (UNC) Health System in my current position for the past seven years. I am responsible for the management of two system-wide quality improvement programs: the Primary Care Improvement Collaborative and the Urgent Care Improvement Collaborative. These unique programs connect practices, providers, operational leaders, and quality leaders from across the health system using a unified approach to optimize patient care delivery.
Prior to joining UNC Health, I had an extensive and successful career in physician practice administration and health information management that included more than 15 years of electronic health record implementation and analytical support. The first 10 years of my career were spent working in hospital information management where I responsible for coding and DRG reimbursement. Through a consulting position I found my real passion, physician practice operations. I have had the opportunity to manage and direct both primary care and specialty care practices. I also have experience in patient-centered medical home implementation and support.
