Advocate Health identified that patients were not being consistently screened for food preferences, leading to the refusal of meals trays due to the inclusion of unwanted foods. By utilizing SmartData Elements, OPAs, and My Chart Bedside functionality, we were able to screen and record common food preferences at the individual level, providing choices to enhance the patient experience.
