I graduated from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2013 and worked a brief stent in retail pharmacy. My family moved down to the Space Coast of Florida, where I began a job as an overnight pharmacist before being trained as the pharmacy super-user and builder to convert our two hospitals from manual order transcription from faxed orders to CPOE. We moved back to the Carolinas in 2016, where I started my journey with Carolinas Medical Center, now part of Atrium Health, which is now known as the Southeast region for Advocate Health. I went from staff pharmacist to supervisor to pharmacy manager to a new Enterprise pharmacy shared services role with a focus on informatics and specifically Cerner to Epic conversions over the course of about five years. I have been with Atrium Health now for over eight years. I work closely with the Willow Inpatient team, as well as other informatics teams to coordinate medication build and medication-related initiatives in Epic Encompass. This instance is shared with over 30 facilities plus several infusion centers and clinics. Our most recent project is an Epic to Epic conversion with our Wake colleagues.
