Heather received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2001 from Purdue University and her Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2013. Working for nearly 20 years in retail pharmacy in roles from technician to administration has given her experience in a broad range of topics, including medication therapy management, immunization, pharmacy workflow management, pharmacy management software implementation/support, 340b management, and pharmacy finance. Heather has authored works on third party payer billing in outpatient pharmacy and has instructed courses in pharmacy-based immunization and community college courses for pharmacy technicians. She began her current role as a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist with UNC Health in 2018 to assist in the implementation of Willow Ambulatory and Willow Inventory in outpatient pharmacies across the state. Heather continues to support Willow Ambulatory and Inventory with a focus on workflow efficiency improvement.
