The UNC Pardee BlueMD practice became 340B eligible in September of 2022. Because this is a family and internal medicine practice, many of their patients are referred out to specialty providers that are not part of the FQHC covered entity. UNC Willow Ambulatory team worked with the covered entity pharmacy and 340B leadership to develop accumulator build that captured prescriptions resulting from the referral visits for 340B eligibility resulting in a decrease in drug spend of over $350,000
