Chrystal Eller, MD has served as a primary care physician at FirstHealth of the Carolinas for 18 years. She joined the Physician Builder team during FirstHealth's Epic implementation in 2016 and hold Epic Certifications in Physician Builder, Analytics and Cadence. Her medical degree is from Drexel University College of Medicine and served her residency in Family Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Dr. Eller currently serves as Associate CMIO, with a focus on Ambulatory and Cadence projects. She has led teams in a number of projects including the development of a Telehealth department, a Functional Medicine department, schedule optimization in Primary Care for the implementation of Direct Scheduling, a Medicare Wellness program, and various workflows to increase efficiency, reduce provider cognitive burden and improve charge capture. Outside of work, Dr. Eller enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, home improvement projects, and all things Sci-Fi.
