Matthew Shingara is a Solution Architect for Advocate Health’s Continuing Health service line, with responsibilities spanning Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing Facilities/Units, Swing Units, Palliative Care, Home Health, and Hospice.
With more than a decade of experience in Healthcare IT, Matthew collaborates with operational and technical teams to design, build, and maintain solutions in Epic. His efforts enhance processes and workflows for teammates supporting over 600 skilled nursing beds as well as those working across the Continuing Health service lines.
Previously, Matthew worked with a team to implement Cerner across more than 400 ambulatory practices and was directly responsible for post-live support for five service lines, encompassing 23 practices and nearly 200 providers and teammates.
As a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Matthew is committed to process efficiency and people-centered solutions. He contributes actively to the Epic Long-Term Care Steering Board and Long-Term Care Braintrust, advocating for system enhancements to address the complex workflows and regulatory needs of skilled nursing.
Outside of work, Matthew cultivates his passion for growing and hybridizing orchids—a reflection of his dedication to creating optimal systems for both plants and people.
