Since graduating from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2013, I have been a clinical hospital pharmacist in both Florida and North Carolina with experience on all shifts, with an entry point of after-hours. I have now been with Atrium Health for nearly 10 years as a staff pharmacist, supervisor, manager, and now director. I made my way recently from pharmacy leadership into the land of information technology (IT). We refer to our team in the organization as Pharmacy-IT (Ph-IT), with emphasis on the hyphen. We have coordinated four major electronic health record (EHR) conversions with the last being our first Epic to Epic conversion. We have managed compounding software and infusion pump libraries as well. We support pharmacy informatics projects and coordinate across application teams and departments to bring optimizations and resolutions to the finish line.
