Megan Kaufman is the Executive Director of Lean & Innovation at FirstHealth of the Carolina’s. She began her career as an Occupational therapist and held a variety of roles throughout her 20 years in healthcare. In her various roles she utilizes her skills in task analysis, environmental design & human performance to improve safety & satisfaction for patients & employees. In her tenure she has been at the forefront in program development & Lean transformation. She has successfully implemented Lean principles into the design process to improve the built environment for employees & patient experience. She is active in her community and enjoys camping with her 3 boys. Megan received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from St. Catherine’s University and a Masters in non-profit leadership from High Point University. She is a level 1 ICF accredited coach and is currently working on EDCA certification (Evidence Based Healthcare Design Certification & Accreditation).
