Kristen started her career as an Emergency Department registered nurse, where she discovered her passion for Electronic Health Systems. After getting married, she began working for Allscripts as a Project Manager and helped install emergency medicine applications at many hospitals across the United States. In 2012, she received an amazing opportunity to being working at Rex Hospital as they partnered with UNC Healthcare to implement Epic. Kristen started her Epic journey as a Senior Analyst with ASAP and advanced to an Application Developer certified in over 6 applications before moving to the Epic@UNC Project Management Team in 2023. There she has worked on projects such as EpicNex10, Honor Roll, AI Nursing Note Development and other system level projects. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and dogs.
