Duke Health's transplant vessel disposition documentation workflow contained inefficiencies and complexities, requiring nurses to revisit previous sections of the documentation and at times making it challenging to identify vessel disposition status. This presentation will discuss a new SmartForm and updated workflow that Duke Health introduced to move the vessel disposition documentation to the end of the procedure and to more clearly capture whether vessels were stored, used, or discarded.
