Dr. Katie Borders is the Specialty Medical Director of Atrium Health Women's Care in Charlotte, NC. As part of the service line's strategic plan, she lead the implementation of digital prenatal education and more recently the evaluation and implementation of a more integrated digital education platform. Additionally she has been involved as a subject matter expert in the inpatient and outpatient OB builds with the transition of the Charlotte Market to Epic as well as the current harmonization project with Wake Forest Baptist. She strives to make transitions as seamless as possible for physicians and APPs.

Dr. Borders received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed her OBGYN residency training at UNC Hospitals. She lives in her hometown of Shelby, NC, with her husband and two sons.
