Inpatient pharmacy services encompass a vast range of patient care activities from medication dispensing all the way to bedside patient counseling. Capturing inpatient decentralized clinical pharmacy workload and productivity is essential in the demanding inpatient environment with increasing patient volume and acuity. We developed an inpatient pharmacy productivity dashboard for monitoring and assessment of decentralized clinical workload trends. We describe our development, categorization, and schema to support the creation of a dashboard reporting tool to visualize the pharmacy inpatient decentralized clinical workflow in a health system.
