WakeMed is new to Rover but we used a unique implementation strategy to successfully roll this technology out to clinicians even though we had limited resources from IT. We leveraged our shared decision structure ie, Nursing Informatics Council, Nurse Professional Development Program & Nursing/Clinical Support Council to design the most efficient workflows and content within Rover. This ensured staff adoption and usage. The implementation of Rover at WakeMed has significantly improved timely documentation, increased Barcoded Medication Administration, and improved communication by providing healthcare staff with on-the-go access to patient records.
