Description
96 million Americans have pre diabetes and 80% don't know they have it. Diagnosing and treating pre diabetes is important because diabetes and diabetes complications can be prevented if pre diabetes is properly managed. We implemented two actionable best practice alerts to alert providers of the possibility of pre diabetes in their patients and allowed action to be taken from the BPA screen. These BPAs have performed well with up to 60 % positive clinical action on one BPA and 12% positive clinical action on the other.
