Medical necessity is a key part of the patient’s stay. In this presentation, we will walk though how our organization created efficiencies for a busy Utilization Review team who manages patients at 13 acute care facilities centrally. We will show how a department can leverage Epic tools with clinical scoring to reduce the number of patients a Utilization Review nurse has to review for a hospital stay.
