Secondary hypertension is an under-screened form of hypertension. We describe a clinical decision support tool combined with a predictive model to help increase screening for secondary hypertension and, more specifically, primary aldosteronism. This combination of tools has resulted in a 2.5-fold increase in ordering of screening for primary aldosteronism. This combination of a predictive model and a clinical decision support tool can be generalized to other under-screened conditions.
