As a clinician in the inpatient setting, it can be challenging to schedule individuals for therapies and medical procedures within EPIC due to the outpatient workflow of the Snapboard and Appointment Desk systems. This presentation discusses how to create a scheduling process utilizing the provided tools in EPIC so that scheduling may be completed by a clinician within an appropriate time frame. This process has been demonstrated within inpatient rehabilitation facilities and would also apply to long term care, mental health, and other inpatient settings.
